Community, Home & School Gardening: Home Gardening & Gardens
A Home Garden can be a simple or as extravagent as one wants to make it. It can be in pots on an apartment balcony, in a window sill, or on the front or back porch. It can be a small section of ground used for a few tomato plants, or it can be larger and include a variety of fruits and vegetables. A home garden can add beauty and depth to a home. A home garden can be more involved and take up as much space as a home owner or renter wants to commit to. It can be done for various reasons including simply augmenting ones food resources all the way to the love and enjoyment of growing ones own food.
This topic is dedicated to providing information and resources for the persuit of home gardening in a "Slow Food" vein. Home gardening is big business, and we'll leave that to other interests. This space is meant to focus on non-commercial aspects of home gardening. In the articles and resources listed below, we'll provide useful information and resources for estblishing and maintaining a home garden.
Of course, this is a work-in-progress, so check back periodically to discover what's new. If you have suggestinos for what we can include here, please email your suggestions to the Slow Food Utah Webmeister.
