Featuring "grass–fed, antibiotic and hormone–free" beef and lamb plus raw fleeces, roving and yarn.

Grass Fed Animals — Our free-ranging animals spend their lives enjoying high mountain grassy valleys, fresh water, and clean air in Southeastern Idaho. In winter they are fed a variety of delicious hay, most of it grown on our farm. These include: alfalfa, sainfoin and grass mixtures. This healthy diet creates meat high in Omega-3 essential fatty acid, Vitamins E & A, and high in CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) – an anti-cancer and heart healthy nutrient. The slow and steady growth and development of grass-fed animals means they are naturally lean, and contain less than half the total fat of grain-fed animals. For more information on the many benefits of grass-fed meat we recommend the www.eatwild.com website.

Antibiotic and Hormone-Free Animals — We are proud that our animals are never given hormone implants or fed antibiotics. Our grass-fed animals are raised in a low stress environment, keeping them naturally healthy. For example, we calve and lamb once a year in the spring, as nature intended. Our young animals, less stressed by the spring weather, rarely get sick. The rare animal that requires antibiotic treatment for health reasons is removed from the program. This ensures a better, healthier end product to you the consumer! Check out our Grass-Fed is Best page to learn why we think pasture based animal production makes the most sense. Read some of our customer's comments here.

Dry Aged U.S.D.A. Inspected Meat — Our animals, processed when they are in top condition, provide you with the best quality meat possible. The meat is dry aged the Old World way to promote tenderness and enhance flavor. Our animals are processed at U.S.D.A. inspected plants, ensuring a wholesome and quality product. Our meat is vacuum-packed and frozen to prevent loss of quality.

Availability and Savings — Our meats are primarily sold direct to you at local Farmers Markets in Idaho and Utah. See our Delivery Schedule here. By selling directly to you we eliminate the middle man, and save you money! Our meat is also available at select stores and resturants. Both beef and lamb are available as individual cuts, and as bundles of cuts. In addition, our beef is available as whole, half, or quarter (half of a half) carcass. Our lamb is available as whole or half carcasses. Custom cutting is available on purchases of half carcasses or greater. Delivery of your order is available for a small fee if it is outside our regular delivery schedule. Are your friends and family interested in splitting an order? There is a considerable saving when you purchase meat in larger lots. We now also carry all lamb sausages, and beef sausages as well as beef salami. See the items currently on special. We have raw fleeces, roving and yarn available now.

Cooking tips are also provided to help ensure a quality eating experience. We have a variety of tried and true grass-fed recipes on our recipes page. We are happy to provide you with suggestions about how to prepare the cuts you receive.
